AI Safety Comms - Lightning Talks and Networking ⚡

🧠 What is this event about? The speed of AI Safety demands fast-learning communicators. Many of us are doing this in isolation. That’s not efficient. We want to create a community, and learn from each other: real wins (or mistakes!) from your personal journey. Good AI safety communication is clear, accessible, and actionable. We need less abstraction and more action: AI safety ideas only matter if people actually understand them. 📍 What to expect We’ve reserved tables at The Sipping Room, with built in time to effectively learn from each other. This is a space to exchange ideas, test communication approaches and meet others who aspire to build stronger strategies to mobilise AI safety awareness and action. Schedule: 14:30: Arrival & informal mingling Gather your name tags, and claim your first drink! 14:45: Welcome and greetings from the organisers Introduction to the lightning talk framework: We’re focusing on real-world lessons:• one big win• or one big mistake Each speaker gives a lightning talk (max. 5 minutes): what was your comms objective? ⁠what was your idea/theory? ⁠⁠what did you do?
