Whether you are new to mindful movement or experienced in practices like 5Rhythms, you’ll find a supportive environment to express yourself, release tension, and reconnect with your body and community. Freedom to Dance Ecstatic Dance is about freedom of movement and deep presence. To help everyone feel at ease, we keep a few simple agreements: • No talking on the dance floor • No phones or photography • No alcohol or other substances Dance solo or with others. There is no choreography, just music, movement, and the freedom to express yourself freely. An Inclusive Space Ecstatic Dance Oxford is open to all backgrounds, identities, and levels of dance experience. You are invited to move at your own pace in a supportive community space. Many dancers with a 5Rhythms background or previous ecstatic dance experience join alongside complete beginners, creating a diverse conscious movement community. Ecstatic Dance is part of a growing global movement of sober dance events, offering a powerful and accessible way to reconnect with your body, express emotion, and experience music in a deeper way. Consent & Respect Everyone is welcome, whatever their background, identity, or dance experience. Please be mindful of others and respect personal boundaries. Non-verbal connection is welcome, but all interaction should be mutual. By honouring consent, we co-create a floor where everyone can feel free, safe, and supported. A Musical Journey with Traxsky Each Ecstatic Dance Oxford journey is a guided conscious dance experience curated by Traxsky, who curates a dynamic musical experience designed to support emotional release, creativity, and connection through rhythm and movement. Expect a carefully crafted sound journey moving through a range of genres—from deep tribal rhythms and electronic beats to melodic and ambient soundscapes.
