Hands On Herbalism Workshop:¨ Nine Sacred Saxon Herbs

These workshops takes you beyond elderflower cordial, mint tea and sloe gin into the wonderful world of herbal medicine. Each week we will focus on and practice three different skills and dive into identifying and using different medicinal plants (most of which you can forage or grow in your garden/allotment or on your window sill/on your patio). The course aims to blend collected ancient wisdom, scientific findings and your body’s innate intuitive knowing. So that you feel a growing confidence week by week that you increasingly know how to help those you love. Reclaim your ancestral knowledge, connect with Mother Nature, learning about god given medicine. Make new friends, laugh, learn and develop confidence in your own abilities. Holly is a fun, trained teacher who (over her decades learning about plants) has been to other herbalism/foraging courses that are either patronizing, very hippy dippy, make you confused and nervous, or else are just super scientific and dull. What remedies will we be making week by week? Each week we will make three new ones, such as: Lozenges, pastilles, capsule making, energy balls Herbal bitters for weight loss/reflux. Fire cider. Oxymels. Scrap apple cider vinegar, herbal honeys, syrups, herbal vinegars. Aphrodisiacs/anaphrodisiacs (to spice things up or slow things down) Decoctions, Infusions, tinctures, glycerites. Healing condiments. Flower essences, poultices, compresses, infused oils, liniments. Belly balm, anti wrinkle/acne/redness/eyebag face cream. Tea blends (such as Old Wounds tea, Lucid Dreaming tea, menopause, mix your own weight loss tea). Herbal baths, hand and foot baths. Douching. Homemade shampoo, washing liquid, suncream, cleansers, masks, scrubs, lip balm, makeup. Ferments, such as herbal kombucha, herbal kimchi, herbal sauerkraut, water kefir.
