The second half offers piano improvisations & somatic meditations, inviting you to leave feeling more spacious & more grounded than when you arrived. * After the success of their previous two events - In This Now: Music & Art Experience and RESONANCE | In the Presence of Light & Sound - husband & wife duo return to Caversham Baptist Church to host Part III Simplexity. The Theme: Simplexity Simplexity explores the meeting place between simplicity & complexity. Nature offers endless examples: a leaf, our breath, a ripple on the water. Simple forms give rise to enormous complexity. Life is not one thing or its opposite, but the living relationship between them. Stillness and movement. Light and shadow. Inhale and exhale. Simple and complex. As we begin to notice these polarities, something opens... A spaciousness. A quiet presence. That's the heart of Simplexity. We are invited to notice those relationships—not only in the world around us, but within ourselves. Talor specialises in somatic meditation, which simply means relating to the body • An intimate & relaxed atmosphere • Time for yourself; to notice, to listen, to feel, to unwind About the Artists Piano by Edward Chilvers (www.edwardchilvers.com) seeks to expand the limitations of music & guide the listener into a meditative state. He specialises in multi-tempo piano, designed to stretch & still the mind, and is passionate about creating Art that enhances the listener and reflects nature. Visual Art & Meditation is presented by Talor Chilvers (www.talorclarke.com). Her photographs present the viewer with new ways of seeing: to see the ethereal in the everyday and to observe the beauty of colour, form, & light. Talor specialises in somatic meditation & will be guiding the audience through a gentle sequence to feel the body & soften the mind. Together, they hope to capture a sense of the transcendental and invite the listener/viewer to observe the here & now.
