Food carries more than flavour. It holds memories, traditions, and the love of those who came before us. In this 90-minute workshop, we’ll dive into the stories behind the dishes that define us. Using writing, mindful tasting, and collaborative baking we will explore the connections between food, memory, and community. Through guided prompts, you’ll write about the recipes, people, and moments that have shaped your experiences with food. We’ll also bake thumbprint cookies together, a symbolic and delicious way to reflect on the marks we leave on each other’s lives. Whether you’re a writer, a food lover, or simply someone who enjoys sharing stories, this workshop is for you. No experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and an openness to connect. What to Expect: • Mindful tasting to awaken your senses and spark creativity. • Guided prompts to help you craft poems or prose inspired by food, family, and memory. • Hands-on baking of thumbprint cookies, with time to reflect and chat. • Optional sharing of your writing in a supportive, collaborative space.
