The Big C 2026

12 WODs, 12 hours, one cause. A fitness fundraiser with a difference, with scalable and adaptable challenges for all abilities. Welcome to The Big C! "This event was started after the passing of my step-dad, Martin, from stage 4 Cancer. He survived 12 months after his diagnosis, one month for every challenge in this competition. He spent a lot of time at The Mustard Tree centre in Derriford, where the burning heat of the Summer made attendees lives miserable. It's my hope we can correct this and show up for anyone suffering from Cancer, by fundraising and giving it our best." - Louis, Event Organiser Tickets are broken down into specific challenges, with most Crossfit workouts being named after people, hence workouts like 'Grace' and 'Murph' etc. Each workout will be at a specific time, so make sure you arrive early to get setup and work out your scales/weights. We'll be on hand for any advice you need on this. Have a look at what's involved in the workout and if it sounds like your thing grab a ticket. As mentioned, this year we are raising money for The Mustard Tree in order to help them purchase several badly needed cooling and heating units for attendees, to regulate their temperature when undergoing treatment for Cancer. It's our hope that these appliances will make their stay at the centre that little bit more bearable, and the whole experience that little bit less uncomfortable.
