The Joy of Growing: What to plant now for harvests in the Spring

The workshop takes place at our demonstration plot at our Farmstart project in Metherell. We'll discuss the lay out of the space for ease of use and productivity, utilising no-dig beds, composting and how to retain water in the soil. We'll plant bulbs both for food and for flowers. This practical workshop lead by grower Jo Tytherleigh from Harewood Farm is ideal for people new to growing food, or are currently on an allotment waiting list. This is a free workshop supported by the Farming in Protected Landscapes Scheme in the Tamar Valley, but we do ask for a refundable deposit of £10 per person which will be refunded on attending on the day. Hot drinks will also be provided, please bring along a packed lunch. As the workshop will be taking place outdoors stout shoes and waterproofs are recommended.
