The Purposeful Shift: Walk & Talk - Liskeard Wednesday 11 November 2026 10am - 11am A gentle town walk offering women some fresh air, thoughtful conversation and the chance to connect with others locally. Could you use an hour to walk, talk and make a little space to think? We are trying something new at The Purposeful Shift by bringing a small group of women together for a local walk, with time to talk, reflect and connect along the way. Many of us would like to walk more, meet new people or have conversations that go beyond everyday small talk, but it is not always easy to find the time or opportunity. We will walk together for up to an hour, with a couple of simple conversation and reflection prompts along the way. We may pause for a few moments to talk, reflect quietly or write something in a notebook if the weather allows. The prompts are there to encourage conversation and reflection, rather than to reach a particular conclusion. You can join in with the conversation, listen to others or think privately as we walk. Come on your own or with someone you know. These first walks will follow straightforward town routes on pavements, beginning and ending at the same meeting point. Future Walk & Talk sessions may explore different locations and types of terrain. Free, in person and open to women aged 18 and over. There are eight places available so that the group remains small and welcoming. What to expect • A brief welcome and safety introduction • A pavement based town walk of approximately two to three miles • A comfortable, conversational group pace • Two gentle conversation and reflection prompts • Short pauses for conversation, quiet reflection or optional journalling • A return to our original meeting point by approximately 11am The route may be shortened to reflect the pace of the group and ensure that we finish within the advertised time. Meeting point Liskeard Leisure Centre Coldstyle Road Liskeard Cornwall PL14 3HZ We will meet in the lower car park, beside the entrance to the outdoor tennis courts. A photograph of the exact meeting point and final route information will be sent before the event. Please arrive five to ten minutes before 10am so that we can leave together. Route and accessibility Please read the completed route information before booking and consider whether the distance and terrain are suitable for you. What to bring Please wear comfortable footwear and clothing suitable for the weather. You may also wish to bring: • Water • A charged mobile phone • A small notebook and pen • Any medication or mobility aid you usually need while walking The walk will usually continue in light rain, but it may be postponed if the weather or walking conditions are unsafe. Please check your email before leaving home. Is this a workshop, coaching or therapy? No. The Purposeful Shift: Walk & Talk is a facilitated space for reflection, conversation, and connection. It is not coaching, counselling, therapy, medical advice, or a mental health support group. You decide how much or how little you wish to contribute. -
