Torpoint Poetry Social (September)

An informal evening of poetry in Torpoint. Bring something of your own to read, share a favourite poem by another writer or simply join. Torpoint Poetry Social Thursday 17th September | 6–8pm TAC, 61 Fore Street, Torpoint, Cornwall, PL11 2AB This is an informal evening for anyone who enjoys poetry - whether you write regularly, have something you've been quietly working on, love reading other people's work, or simply fancy coming along to listen. There’s no pressure to perform and no need to consider yourself a poet! You can: • Bring your own poetry to read and share • Bring a favourite poem by another writer that you'd like to read • Come along just to listen, meet people and enjoy the evening The idea is to create a friendly, welcoming space for sharing words, discovering different voices and connecting with other people locally who have an interest in poetry and writing. Tickets are £2.50 to help us cover the costs of running the evening. Everyone is welcome - experienced writers, complete beginners, curious readers and listeners alike.
