Wild Walk

Join us for a guided walk through our rewilding area. This tour runs on a Thursday and Saturday morning only, May-September. Strictly no dogs. Children welcome when accompanied by responsible parent or legal guardian. This tour runs on a Thursday and Saturday morning only and follows the Animal Encounters tour (which you can book in addition!). One of the best ways to get up close and personal to our wilding area is by taking part on one of our guided Wild Walks. This led guided tour will allow you to see our rewildling 'helpers' such as the Native Cattle, wild Exmoor ponies and Iron Age pigs, and the differences they have already made to the surrounding landscape. Breathe in nature and keep your eyes and ears out for birds, butterflies and other invertebrates that are returning and establishing their homes in the area. Each month will provide different wildlife sightings, and you will help directly by recording the species that we encounter. This guided tour starts from the 'Wild Cat kitchen' near our Shepherd Hut yard entrance at 11am and lasts for approximately 2 hours.. Our guide will be with you all the way to answer questions. There are frequent stops to look and listen for wildlife. Please wear suitable foot wear and clothing.
