Explore this fascinating museum within the grounds of HMS Sultan. The Airfield Museum gives the history of the surrounding area used as an airfield from 1909-1956. Learn about the world’s first “Top Gun” establishment 1917-19, and how the ‘Gosport’ method of flying training was adopted by the world. Look out for one of Gosport's astounding inventions, 'The Gosport Tube'.Family-friendly but children must be fully supervised. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of the tour.This tour is held in conjunction with three other events at HMS SULTAN. Visitors should book each tour they wish to join at separate times in the day. Entrance: Caledonia Gate, HMS Sultan, Military Road, Gosport, PO12 3BY Duration: 90 mins Booking OPENS on 22 Aug at 09:30. Advance Registration required: Limited spaces on each tour. You may book up to 4 tickets per booking. To complete your registration you will need your name, contact telephone number, email, post code, car registration (if appropriate) Please complete registration within 10 minutes. After this, the reservation we're holding will be released to others.
