Full description from organizer

Join IOSH, CIOB and Aimee Tennant (Seedling) for this in-person event on carbon reporting, Net Zero planning and client requirements. Businesses are increasingly being asked to provide carbon data by clients, in tenders, and through supply chain assessments such as ISO 14001 and EcoVadis. For many businesses without dedicated expertise, producing credible emissions data and a Net Zero plan is a genuine challenge. This session provides a practical introduction to carbon reporting, covering: • Why businesses are being asked for carbon data • The most common carbon reporting formats and what they require of you: • ISO 14001 / 14064 • EcoVadis • CDP supply chain disclosures • SBTi Net Zero submissions • Carbon Reduction Plans (PPN 006) • NHS Evergreen • RICS WLCA • PAS 2080 • The frameworks and methodologies that underpin credible carbon reporting • Common reporting mistakes and how to avoid them • What to do once you have your footprint: • How to identify reduction opportunities and build a credible route towards Net Zero Case Study The session will also include a practical case study showing how a construction firm measured its full-scope emissions (Scopes 1, 2 and 3), developed a Net Zero roadmap, and used the results to respond to client requirements and opportunities. Whether you're just starting your carbon reporting journey or looking to better understand the expectations of clients and supply chains, this session will provide practical insights and clear next steps. This is an in‑person event. Please only register if you are able to travel to the venue. This is your opportunity to expand your knowledge and enhance your professional journey. The event will support development across a range of IOSH competencies, including: • technical competencies: principles of health and safety and other legislative frameworks (technical) and health and safety governance (technical) • core competencies: business context- internal and external (core) and planning and implementation (core) The session will be relevant to professionals working across health and safety, environmental management, construction management and the wider built environment who are involved in responding to carbon requests – no specialist carbon expertise is required.
