Stand Up Comedy ft Bella Hull, Tom Ward & Joey Page

A top night of stand-up featuring TV & circuit comics for guaranteed laughs. Look forward to a brilliant night of live stand-up comedy, featuring TV favourites and radio stars to circuit legends and rising talent. Every show we showcase three top-billed acts, each one a headline-worthy name in their own right - one to open the show, one to perform in the middle, and one to close the night. You can expect a warm welcome, a cracking atmosphere, and big laughs all night long. Whether you’re planning a date night, rounding up your mates, sorting a work social or just looking for something fun to do in Southampton, Stand Up in the Basement brings club-style comedy nights to Papillon every month. Tickets are limited and our nights often sell out - book early to guarantee your seat. Running time: approx. 2.5 hours, including 2 short intervals. BELLA HULL Sharp, smart and fast-rising, with appearances on QI, Have I Got News For You and The Last Leg, plus a spot on the writing team for Saturday Night Live UK. “SHARP WRITING AND PRECISE PERFORMANCE… SUCH A JOY TO WATCH” – ★★★★ THE GUARDIAN TOM WARD An award-winning comic with a brilliantly offbeat style, as seen on Live at the Apollo, QI and Roast Battle, and tour support for the likes of Jack Whitehall and Ricky Gervais. “SKILFULLY BALANCING THE RELATABLE AND THE ODD” – CHORTLE JOEY PAGE A brilliantly surreal and hugely likeable comic, known from Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Noel Fielding’s Luxury Comedy, who’s also toured with Rob Beckett and Laura Smyth. “A LEADING NAME IN BRITISH CULT COMEDY” – ★★★★★ THREEWEEKS COLIN OWENS [MC] Your host Mr Colin Owens! He's been gigging across the UK comedy circuit since 2005, known for his dry delivery, laid-back style, and razor-sharp crowd work. Colin’s the glue that holds the night together, setting the tone, warming up the room, and making sure no one gets too comfy in the front row. He first made waves after winning the Jimmy Carr Comedy Idol Competition, going on to support Carr at Bloomsbury Theatre and perform alongside comics like Frank Skinner, Tim Vine, and Michael McIntyre.
