Night-time Rockpool Safari

Join us for a rockpool safari with a difference to see what goes on in our rockpools at night! Join us for a rockpool safari with a difference. As many creatures in the rockpools are nocturnal, we'll be heading out under the cover of darkness to see what goes on in our rockpools at night. Come with us to seek out lobsters, giant crabs and flatfish! Don't forget your headtorch! Please note, children must be supervised by an adult throughout the event. Embrace your wild side - what to expect: This event is suitable for both adults and children. The beach is accessed via a 5-minute walk down a road. The event will involve walking over uneven ground on the rocky shore and on slippery surfaces in the dark. Please ensure to wear suitable footwear, waterproof clothing and bring a torch. We will be walking through rockpools so waterproof shoes are required - wellies would be best. What's at the Living Seas Centre? The Living Seas Centre is an education centre near South Landing, Flamborough. There's plenty to explore in the area, from rockpooling at South Landing, to discovering the amazing 'seabird city' at Flamborough Cliffs nature reserve further around the headland. What to bring/wear This event takes place outside so brace yourself for the Yorkshire weather! We'd recommend sturdy and waterproof footwear or wellies and lots of layers. Please bring along your own torch, ideally a headtorch. Toilets and catering There are toilets at the Living Seas Centre open daily.
