Equipment for ski mountaineering

Facewest will explain and demonstrate the latest avalanche bags and transceivers. Plus "What's in my sack?" - what are your gear choices? Are you a gear freak or does gear freak you out? Either way this event will help you enjoy your skiing and your shopping. The evening will be in two parts. We are lucky enough to have a representative from Facewest who are Britain’s leading provider of avalanche safety equipment including such expensive items such as transceivers and avalanche air bags which you don’t often see in shops. After their presentation there will be an opportunity for club members to present their favourite gear. Do your skins have hot melt glue? What is a K2 Shaxe? What’s the best hybrid binding? Intuition or Zipfit? Black Crows or Black Diamond? All this and more. A chance to listen and learn, to eat and drink , to see old friends and make new ones.
