Find out about how Sheffield made more than simply steel during its industrial revolution. Sheffield is internationally famous for its steel. Recent excavation at Bowling Green Street has revealed that Sheffield’s steelmaking technology may have been adapted for use in the manufacture of copper alloys such as brass. Join Ashley Tuck from Wessex Archaeology to learn about the archaeological evidence for links between small scale brass making and the steel industry in 19th century Sheffield. Please donate if you're able and help keep your museums open and available for everyone to enjoy. Suggested donation £5 – when you select your tickets, please scroll down and select ‘General Admission + Donation’. Image Credit: Wessex Archaeology
