Multicolour Linocut Printmaking

Dive further into the process of Linocut printmaking to create a series of your own multi-coloured prints. Using the professional quality equipment and materials at Carousel Print Studio, you will work from your chosen image, learn how to register, and handcarve and print a small edition of original colourful prints. You will leave with your hand carved printing blocks and your own original artworks ready to frame! If you've enjoyed a single colour linocut course, this is a great next step. You will be taken step by step through the whole process, so beginners are also welcome. What will I need to bring? All materials and equipment will be provided. If possible bring a design or image that fits nicely into a standard 15 cm x 20cm (approx 6" x 8 ") rectangle. You will be printing in dark to lighter coloured layers, so this is something to bear in mind when choosing an image. If you are copying an image please check and respect the copyright. Please wear old clothes as printing can get messy. Aprons will be provided. You may wish to bring a packed lunch. Teas, coffee and biscuits are provided.
