Pete McKee’s Christmas Youth Club Disco

The ultimate Christmas party is back! Youth Club Disco returns to Steamworks on Friday 18th December for the ultimate festive night out. What started as a trip back to the youth club has become one of Sheffield’s most talked-about nights, with a run of sold-out events and packed dance floors from start to finish. Once again, we’re teaming up with local legend Pete McKee, turning back the clocks to the glory days with Youth Club Disco. Four hours of chart-topping hits, cult classics and no-frills throwbacks to the memories forged in the youth clubs of the 70s and 80s, where no problem couldn’t be solved by a stint next to the turntable. If last time is anything to go by, you’ll barely have a chance to leave the dance floor. Youth Club Disco is a celebration of simpler days, killer tunes and dancing without a care in the world and we can’t wait to bring that magic back to Steamworks this Christmas. We’ll be transforming the space into a magical festive wonderland, complete with Christmas lights, plenty of seasonal sparkle and a few surprises along the way — the perfect setting for a very special night out. Pete will be personally spinning choice cuts from his extensive vinyl collection on the night, alongside Leadmill veteran DJ Adam Morley. Together, they’ll be sound tracking a night that’s more than just a party, it’s a full-blown festive time warp. Plus: 🕹️ Vintage arcade machines 🍕 If you get a little peckish between dancefloor sessions, there’ll be pizzas available throughout the night Expect to hear: Adam and the Ants / The Specials / The Cure / T-Rex / Spandau Ballet / Kool & The Gang / Queen / Eurythmics / The Human League / Soft Cell / Tears for Fears / REM / Duran Duran / Depeche Mode / New Order / David Bowie / Pet Shop Boys / Yazoo / Guns N Roses / Dead or Alive / Orchestral Manoeuvers in the Dark / Ultravox / Heaven 17 / Talking Heads / The Jam / Joy Division and loads more
