Piazzolla, Amy Beach, Golijov's klezmer-soaked clarinet quintet and Dvořák's 'American' Quintet: four routes into the New World. Now in its 26th year, the Oxford Chamber Music Festival returns with New Worlds. This fantastic concert traces four routes to the New World: Astor Piazzolla — Grand Tango for Cello and Piano Osvaldo Golijov — 'Dreams and Prayers of Isaac the Blind' for Clarinet Quintet Amy Beach — Romance for Violin and Piano Antonín Dvořák — String Quintet, Op. 97 'The American' This event takes place in Europe's oldest purpose-built concert hall giving the audience the opportunity to watch world-class players, unusually close up.
