All In Conversation: Inclusivity In STEM and Climate Action

With Professor Andrew Charlton-Perez OBE - Professor of Meteorology at University of Reading Hear from Professor Andrew Charlton-Perez OBE on his work and career at the University of Reading. He will talk about his work on climate action in education, his experiences as a working parent and why increasing diversity and equity in STEM careers is vital for both people and the planet. Event includes: • 20 minute talk by Professor Charlton-Perez OBE • Q&A session • Open discussion and networking on this/related topics Professor Andrew Charlton-Perez is head of the School of Mathematical, Physical and Computational Sciences at UoR. He was recognised was an OBE in June 2025 for his contribution to climate science and education. He has played a key role in delivering the National Climate Education Action Plan, helping to bring together more than 80 organisations to work on climate education initiatives. Tickets are available for a suggested donation of £3 which will go to Professor Charlton-Perez's nominated charity, Launchpad, who are part of the national membership charity for organisations working directly with people who become homeless in England. We want this event to be as accessible as possible so donations are at the buyer's discretion. 'All In Conversation' talks are annual non-partisan events exploring the issues of the day.
