How to change the world (…one village at a time)

Across the country, the drought has hit our food supply; crops are failing and farmers are warning of shortages ahead. The climate and nature crisis isn't a distant worry anymore, it's on our doorstep. It's easy to feel powerless in the face of something so big, but there's real hope, and real power, in what we can do together. Join us for an evening of film and conversation to explore how. You don't need any prior knowledge or expertise, just an interest in your community and its future. The event will open with a screening of The People's Emergency Briefing, the acclaimed film that brings together 10 of the UK's leading experts setting out the risks we face and the solutions within reach. Presented by Chris Packham, the film features commentary from well-known UK personalities including Jennifer Saunders, Deborah Meaden and Adam Buxton. It's based on footage from the briefing given to over 1,200 MPs and leaders at Westminster, now being shown in communities across the country. Then it's over to us. You'll have the chance to share how the film leaves you feeling, hear from a panel on local action, and join the conversation about what our community could start planning together.
