The 1865 Presents by arrangement with Solent Area Prog Overhead + Damanek   Sunday 18th July, 2027  The 1865   OVERHEAD    Formed in Finland in 1999, Overhead have spent more than 25 years developing one of the most distinctive sounds to emerge from the European progressive rock scene.  Their music combines expansive progressive compositions and strong melodies with a live reputation built through extensive touring across Europe. Overhead have performed in countries including Finland, Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland and the UK, sharing stages with artists such as Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets, Spock’s Beard, Anathema and Threshold.  Following their acclaimed early albums Zumanthum, Metaepitome and And We're Not Here After All, the band continued to evolve through Of Sun And Moon and Haydenspark, before releasing their double studio album Telepathic Minds in 2023.  The album received widespread critical acclaim for its powerful combination of progressive and atmospheric music, while reflecting on the turbulent realities of the modern world.  The 2027 UK dates will mark Overhead's first dedicated UK tour, following two previous festival appearances.   The band are also preparing a forthcoming live album, recorded during their 25th-anniversary European tour and scheduled for release as a double CD and triple LP in 2027, while simultaneously working on new material for their next studio album.  DAMANEK is an international progressive rock collective bringing together three acclaimed musicians from the United Kingdom, Australia and Germany.  Since its formation in 2016, the band has earned a reputation for sophisticated songwriting, world-class musicianship and ambitious albums that blend progressive rock with jazz fusion, folk, cinematic soundscapes and socially conscious storytelling.  Founded by Guy Manning, Sean Timms and Marek Arnold, Damanek was created as a truly collaborative project, combining decades of experience from some of progressive music's most respected bands. Rather than following traditional genre boundaries, Damanek creates expansive, emotionally engaging music where memorable melodies, intricate arrangements and lyrical depth exist in equal measure.  The band's debut album On Track (2017) immediately established Damanek as a significant new voice in modern progressive rock, followed by In Flight (2018) and the critically acclaimed Making Shore (2023).  Across these releases the trio has collaborated with an impressive roster of guest musicians while maintaining a distinctive musical identity built around expressive songwriting, powerful performances and exceptional production.  Damanek's music explores environmental concerns, humanity, travel, conflict, hope and the human condition, delivered through richly layered compositions that appeal equally to classic progressive rock audiences and listeners seeking contemporary musical innovation.
