Full description from organizerShow less
Join us in person to build a MIDI device with SPOKE and explore hands-on music making. As part of the Hackoustic All-Dayer for Iklectika. Learn how to build your own custom MIDI controllers with capacitive touch sensing using the SPOKE board. Participants will need to bring their own laptops, tablets or it is also possible to run the workshop through their mobile phones! Participants will craft their own MIDI device from basic materials, learn how to reprogramme the SPOKE board to whatever musical scale/format they want and learn about its potential for other types of computer interaction. The boards themselves will be available to purchase as an extra after the workshop. It's a bit like a test drive.
