THE BIG FAT NIGERIAN PUB QUIZ II

The Big Fat Nigerian Pub Quiz is back on Sunday 25th October, and we are returning to where we hosted our first ever events. 2026, although not over, has covered so much across Nigeria and its diaspora. One thing about Nigerians: we achieve. From British Nigerian skit makers Iya Bouji and Buruku Omoba making us cry with laughter through witty, relatable content, to the Oysho family—Uncle Femi, Auntie Peju, and their kids—bringing us joy with unintentional comedic accuracy and authenticity that has won hearts across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. Meanwhile, Nigeria is preparing for the 2027 presidential election, with President Bola Tinubu, Peter Obi, and Atiku Abubakar set to go head-to-head. Politically, so much is already happening in the lead-up. Nigerian women in podcasting are thriving: The Uncut Podcast interviewed some of our favourite Afrobeats stars and sold out their show, while FK and Jola of ISWIS toured the UK, US, and Canada with several live shows. Asake’s In God We Trust tour brought viral moments with his glittery tops, intricate dance moves, and surprise guest appearances. Painted by Esther (Ngozi Edeme) is making waves in the makeup space, teaching the "two-shade layering blush" method and doing makeup for top celebrities. Ayra Starr broke the internet by wearing a gele to the club, with her "sabi girls" joining her in purple gele’s to promote her new album ‘Starrgirl’. Tems reminded us to know our worth with her song "What You Need" before delivering a stellar performance at All Points East in London in August. Auntie Bemi continues show her love for red buses through her collaborations with brands. And who could forget Mr. P spoiling us with an 8-part storytelling series with millions of views, walking us through what really caused the demise of P-Square? We will test your knowledge on all of this and more THIS October. Come test your knowledge on all things Nigeria! How well have you kept up with the culture and news, or are you more of a history buff? Enjoy 6 glorious rounds in the heart of Little Lagos and a cash prize for the winning team.
