In Conversation with Natasha Marshall: Craft, Colour & the Future of Design

Join architect & interior designer Ryan Wenham in conversation with Natasha Marshall, textile and colour designer, artist and printmaker, for a thoughtful discussion on what the future of design could look like. With over 25 years’ experience creating textiles for residential, hospitality and commercial interiors, Natasha brings a rich perspective on colour, pattern, craftsmanship and the creative process. Her work has included fabrics and wallcoverings for leading designers, architects and brands including Liberty, John Lewis, Conran and Hilton, alongside her own collections designed and manufactured in the UK. This conversation will explore the value of curiosity, observation and human creativity in a rapidly changing industry, from the emotional power of colour and pattern to the importance of making, manufacturing and choosing the right craft partners for a project. Rather than looking at the future of design purely through technology or trends, Ryan and Natasha will consider what design must continue to protect: individuality, craftsmanship, human connection and the stories that make spaces feel meaningful. Inside Talk Space This year’s show will feel a little different as we celebrate Design Central’s 10th anniversary. The exhibitors remain at the heart of the event, with an expanded Talk Space programme featuring business-focused sessions, interviews and live Q&A throughout both days. All talks are free to attend, but spaces are limited and must be booked in advance. There will also be a daily raffle designed to encourage you to explore the show, meet exhibitors and make new connections. General entry remains free. A paid VIP Experience will also be available as an optional upgrade for those who would like to make the day even more special, with added comfort, access and anniversary extras.
