Join us for a guided Lindow Loop walk, a 7.5 mile walk around Lindow Moss and surrounding area. Join us for a guided walk of the 7.5 mile Lindow Loop. The Lindow Loop is a walk designed and created by volunteers in 2025. For the first time, we are offering a guided walk following the Lindow Loop taking in various points of interest along the route. The walk will showcase the local ecology and history of Lindow Moss and it's surroundings, exploring how people have shaped and used this landscape over the centuries. The route and more information on the points of interest can be seen here - Lindow Moss Loop Walk | Discover Lindow Professor John Handley will be leading the guided walk. As the route is quite long, we will be walking and talking rather than stopping at each point of interest. We anticipate the walk taking 5 hours to do. The walk will start at 10am sharp, from Lindow Common Car Park, so please arrive in good time. While the walk can be shortened, we'd like participants to stay for the full duration. It will go ahead no matter the weather! If you can no longer make it please do let us so so that we can fill your space. Please bring a packed lunch with you, along with any snacks or drinks you may need. We will find a sheltered spot for lunch along the route!
