Todd Hickerson of Mayco returns to Potclays to host a series of stoneware glazing workshops in the lead-up to the Potclays Open Day. This year's ticket price remains at the 2025 price of £50.00 including VAT and Eventbrite fees (previously £65.00). We're very grateful for Mayco's generous support which allows us to keep the ticket price as low as possible. Please ensure you have read all information carefully before booking a place. Each booking must be made in the name of the person attending: We cannot accept bookings for multiple people under the same attendee name. We're delighted to welcome Todd Hickerson of Mayco back to Potclays for four full-day mid-high fire glaze workshops, plus a day of demos at our Open Day. These workshops are designed to provide hands-on learning with Mayco products. Todd will help you explore a variety of Mayco products including Stoneware, Stroke and Coat, Fundamentals Underglazes, E-Z Strokes. Jungle Gems, Fluxes, Washes, Engobes, Designer Liner, and Silkscreens. You will learn how these products create great results from cone 06-10, and cover the best practices using Mayco glazes to achieve new and unique looks. Build confidence to take your glazing skills further, experiment more, and make the most out of just a few glazes with this class! The workshops will take place from 10:00am until 4:00pm on the following dates: Tuesday 29 September Wednesday 30 September Thursday 1 October Friday 2 October* *We close promptly at 4pm on a Friday, therefore any orders need to be collected by the afternoon break at the latest. We're unable to process any orders after 3pm. • Full information including booking and cancellation terms can be found at this link. • The content of the Tuesday workshop is repeated on Thursday, and likewise for the Wednesday and Friday workshop. • To improve the student experience, we have limited numbers to a maximum of 18. • Materials will be supplied, but please bring an apron and at least one small stoneware bisque piece of your own to glaze (e.g. a small bowl or vessel). • Please remember to bring a packed lunch. Light refreshments (tea, coffee, juice, water, biscuits) will be provided all day. • Attendees will benefit from Open Day discounts against Mayco products before anyone else. • Look out for an email in the week prior to the workshop. It will contain important information. If you don't see it, please check your junk folder. • Photography and filming takes place at all Potclays events. Material may be used publicly on social media and in Potclays marketing activity. If you have any concerns, please speak to a member of staff. OPEN DAY DEMOS If you can't make it to the workshops, you can register for one of three free-of-charge 1 hour Mayco product training sessions (demo and Q&A) at our Open Day on Saturday 4 October 2025 from 09:00-15:00. These will take place at 10am, 11.30am, and 1.30pm. Places are limited to 20 at each session, so booking is essential. Free Mayco samples will be handed out to participants, and a full range of Mayco product will be available to purchase at Open Day discounts.
