Refine your adventure skills on a 5-day guided gravel tour - an immersive experience to elevate your existing off-road expertise. Five Day Gravel Tour This time, we have five full days to explore the best locations Wales has to offer, through the Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia National Park and even more of the amazing TET (Trans European Trail). You’ll enjoy some of Wales’ most stunning mountain roads, river crossings, beautiful lakes and exciting new trails, with help and guidance from our instructors every step of the way. What is it? An all-inclusive 5 day experience covering long distances, diverse riding conditions and epic scenery. Who does it suit? For riders that have at least completed Level 2 (or intermediate off-road) training. What does the course include? Overnight stay, equipment, luggage transfer and lunch and evening meal. Riding advice, Tiger 900 Rally Pro (this also comes lowered on booking request), Tiger 1200 Rally pro or Scrambler 1200 XE motorcycle, fuel. An all-inclusive package. Itinerary Day 1 – We will head from the Triumph Adventure Centre up through the famous black Mountains, along the Top Gear road toward the off-road trails. If the weather is kind we aim to tackle “Strata Florida”, the most famous lane of all in Wales. Once through the nine river crossings we’ll head up toward the Mac Loop where the riding gets exciting and the views are spectacular. Finally heading down towards the coast and into Artists Valley were we finish for the first night’s stop over in Machynlleth with a group meal and time to share your stories from the day. Day 2 – This is where we start to head into North Wales, heading towards and around the coast, crossing the iconic Barmouth Bridge and on to Porthmadog for Ice cream before we climb towards Snowdonia National Park. Once there, we’ll tackle some fabulous trails and explore some of the best single track roads before heading to our second night’s accommodation in Betws Y Coed. Day 3 – A good morning incorporating sections of the Trans European Trail, heading slightly East before turning South and making our way back down through Wales. We head towards the expanse of Bala lake then on to Llangollen were we’ll past by the famous Aqueduct. Meandering our way through a network of trails, we aim to finish the day at Lake Vyrnwy with a stunning lake view hotel. Day 4 – Keeping South, we make our way through some fantastic countryside, merging back into mid-Wales, skirting past Nant Y Moch Reservoir onto Devils bridge, before heading to the Elan Valley on some spectacular trails. Pushing over to new Radnor, we head for “Water Break Its Neck” which is a fantastic route over the top of the Welsh hills with some superb views. Dropping down towards Llandrindod Wells were we will spend our last night in an inclusive accommodation with a group BBQ to finish off our last night. Day 5 – Our final day will see us twist and turn our way back towards the Brecon Beacons, tackling the last of the river crossings and trails such as the sunken road, heading towards Llandovery and the Roman Road. Heading back to the Triumph Adventure Centre, we’ll pass through the Glasfynydd forest with its multitude of waterfalls. Once home, hot showers and warm cup of coffee await. A deposit of £245 per rider booking is required to secure a place, and this can be followed by five payments of £350. A valid full unrestricted license is required.
