Cyn at Seven Sisters RFC

South Wales, 1995. Follow a colliers' son as he navigates life after coal. "Gorgeously refined.... exceptional script." - Read About Stuff. Cyn tracks the loss of community during and after the coal mining strikes of 1984-85. Complete with Welsh wit and song, and based on real stories, Cyn not only describes the sense of belonging from that time but also invites you to feel a part of it. The play flows from the present day (1995) to the past through flashbacks - vivid memories of times gone by. The struggle, the joys, and the eventual collapse of life under coal is laid bare as the audience become part of a forgotten unit of hardened people.
