𝙎𝙪𝙗𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙫𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖 𝙬𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙚 Fans of The Cinematic Orchestra, Bon Iver and Sufjan Stevens take note - Orbit Street are returning to SA1! Orbit Street is the brain-child of award-winning composer and bassist Ursula Harrison. What began as a bedroom project during Harrison’s last years in high school has become an interesting and ever-evolving musical ensemble based in Cardiff, South Wales. Songs from the Forest is the latest release from the band, this time comprising two drummers, Patrick Barrett-Donlon and Sam Green, guitarist Dan Edgecombe, keyboard player Charlie Herbert and saxophonist Blyth Bennett. The song cycle comprises four of Harrison's most pop-leaning compositions to date, with a strong focus on their subtle speech-like vocals paired with a wide and expansive musical landscape created by the quartet. Lyrically, Orbit Street has always been an outlet for Harrison's most daring and intimate stories and this is no different, inviting the audience into a moment of self-discovery and clarity in the composer's life.
