ODST Maths Leaders Network Meetings

Essential termly network meeting for Maths leaders at ODST led by Maths Consultant Nathan Crook. Led by Maths consultant Nathan Crook these essential network meetings will allow Maths leaders in ODST schools to meet face to face, with discussion around current issues and best practice. This is a valuable CPD and networking opportunity, funded centrally by ODST. This session will ensure that all subject leaders are fully up-to-date with any changes to the Maths curriculum and discuss key themes for the year ahead. We expect that a Maths leader from each ODST school will attend each of the 3 scheduled network meetings. Where: St Mary's Convent, Wantage, OX12 9AU Dates: • Monday 21st September, 1.15-3.00pm Aims will be: - To review 2025/26 MTC and end of Key Stage 2 assessment headlines with links to promoting a focus on pattern recognition during learning and teaching across schools. - To explore the work of ‘Maths Horizons’ in relation to making problem solving and reasoning accessible so that all pupils can be provided with equity through being able to solve more complex problems. - To further explore effective practice linked to the oracy agenda in maths. - To determine the latest in terms of Ofsted’s education inspection framework and state-funded school inspection toolkit. - To signpost possible maths interventions that could have a purpose for use. • Monday 14th June, 1.15-3.00pm • Monday 8th Feb, 1.15-3.00pm Please bring a device to access QR codes and online shared documents.
