Meet Bango Kitchen Tucked away inside a beautifully restored 200-year-old granite warehouse overlooking the Penryn River, Bango Kitchen has spent the past seven years building a loyal following for bold Pan-Asian cooking and warm Cornish hospitality. From freshly rolled sushi and handmade dumplings to generous sharing feasts and ever-changing seasonal specials, every menu celebrates outstanding local produce, sourced as locally, seasonally and responsibly as possible. This Feast Night is a rare chance to experience Bango beyond its usual four walls as they return to their festival roots for one special evening at Truro Food Festival. --------------------------------- The Feast In true Bango style, expect some surprises along the way. And for those who know Nick and Howard’s other venture, there may just be an iconic Shellfish Pig surprise in the mix on the night… ---------- The feast begins as every great feast should – with a colourful sharing platter celebrating some of Bango Kitchen's best-loved sushi creations. A Spectacular Bango Sushi Platter Featuring Beef, Truffle & Tamagoyaki Sumo Roll, Loch Duart Salmon Nigiri, Uramaki Rolls, Summer Allotment Vegetable Maki and more, all beautifully prepared and made for sharing. ---------- Next comes Bango's latest signature dish, fresh from the restaurant menu and making its Truro debut. LA Galbi Unique Korean BBQ Beef Short Rib, finished on the Big Green Egg and served with Ssamjang, Sticky Gochujuru rice, Bango House-Made Kimchi, Korean Pickle Stack, and the all important "Build-Your-Own" Gem Lettuce Wraps. Roll them, pile them high and enjoy them exactly as they're meant to be eaten. ---------- Who doesn't love a sundae? A playful finale featuring Crispy Sesame Katsu Banana Nuggets, Treleavens Ice Cream, Miso Peanut Caramel Sauce, Chantilly Cream and Double Chocolate Brownie. Served, of course, with a very long spoon. --------------------------------- An Intimate Evening in the Chef’s Theatre Tipi This isn’t your typical festival dining experience. For the evening, our Chef’s Theatre Tipi will be transformed into an intimate dining space in the heart of Truro Food Festival - warm, atmospheric and made for a night of sharing great food around the table. With the Bango Kitchen team just metres away, you’ll hear from the chefs and enjoy a closer, more personal experience than you’d normally get in the restaurant. It’s part chef’s table, part feast night and a completely different way to experience Bango Kitchen at Truro Food Festival. --------------------------------- Drinks for the Evening We’ll welcome you with a drink on arrival, included with your ticket, before you settle in for the feast. Our festival bar will also be open throughout the evening, with a selection of drinks available to enjoy alongside your meal.
