You have been to the workshops, read more than you have told anyone about, and felt things in rooms you could not explain afterwards. And somewhere in that there is a quiet thought you have probably never said out loud, which is that you might be meant to be the one holding the space rather than sitting in the circle.This is where that starts. What Level One actually is Path of the Heart Shaman is a twelve month practitioner training that now runs in four levels of three months each. Level One is the first of them, and it is the initiation into the whole path. You can take it on its own and stop there, and a good number of people will, because it is a complete thing in itself rather than a fragment of something larger. Three weekends, Saturday and Sunday, ten in the morning until four in the afternoon, with an hour for lunch. Ten people, one room, and me teaching every one of the six days myself. Weekend one. Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 2026 Weekend two. Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December 2026 Weekend three. Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 January 2027 What you will be able to do by the end Not what will be covered. What you will actually be able to do, with your own hands, by the third Sunday in January. You will be able to journey reliably to the Lower World and the Middle World, open and close cleanly every time, and cover your tracks so that nothing follows you home. You will have met your own power animal and your own power protection guide, and you will know how to work with them daily rather than hoping they turn up. You will be able to protect yourself properly, which most people who are drawn to this work have never been taught and badly need. And you will be able to walk into a house, read where energy has gathered, meet the spirit of the place and the land beneath it, and clear it properly rather than waving smoke around. That last one matters more than it sounds, because it is something you can offer a friend the week after the third weekend. For most people that first experience of the work landing on somebody other than themselves is the moment it stops being theory.The three weekendsWeekend one, Foundations and first journeys. What shamanism actually is and is not. Boundaries with spirit, and why containment comes before power. The Three Worlds. The drum and the journey state, your first journey to the Lower World, and the retrieval of your power animal. Weekend two, Protection and the Middle World. The energetic anatomy of protection and how intrusion really happens, which is rarely as dramatic as people imagine. Meeting your power protection guide and building a daily practice that takes two minutes. Travelling the Middle World with Jacob as navigator, and hiding your tracks on the way out. Weekend three, Space, home and land. Homes hold memory. Meeting the spirit of a house and the spirits of the land beneath it. The plant allies practical, what each one actually does, and using the feather to move smoke. A full clearing worked end to end in pairs. The assessment at the end Level One finishes with a short written assessment, mostly multiple choice, taken on the final Sunday. It is not there to catch you out. It exists because I want to know that the foundations have genuinely landed before anyone builds healing work on top of them, and because it shows me where I have taught something less clearly than I thought.If something has not gone in, we go over it and you take it again. Nobody is blocked over a wrong answer. Passing it is what carries you into Level Two, and it means that when you start working on other people you are standing on something solid. What is included Six days of teaching with me in the room throughout. A full written teaching document for every weekend, which is yours to keep and work from for years. A folder and a practice journal, given to you on the first morning. Your practice log read and personally responded to between weekends. A one to one conversation at the end of the level where I tell you honestly where you are. And your Level One certificate in the foundations of shamanic practice.You source your own drum before the first weekend and a feather before the third. Written guidance on what to look for comes with your joining information, so you are not spending money on something that will not serve you.Why train with meI trained formally in the Tibetan and Nepalese shamanic traditions under a lineage holder, I hold teachings from the Andean lineage, and I have practised core shamanism for over a decade alongside a lifetime of Buddhist practice. My teacher is Nicholas Breeze Wood, and the name Dorje Rangdol was given to me by my teacher and friend. Since founding The Heart Shaman in 2019 I have worked one to one with more than five hundred people, through grief, burnout, trauma and the kind of stuckness that talking therapy alone could not shift. I have taught over nine hundred students, and this will be the third year I have run this practitioner training. What that means for you is that you are not learning from somebody who read the books and then ran a course. These are methods that have been used, repeatedly, on real people with real problems, and refined every time they did not work well enough. There is no assistant teaching the weekends I am not interested in, and no recorded module standing in for a day of contact. Where a practice belongs to a lineage you have not been initiated into, I will say so plainly and teach you what is genuinely yours to work with. That honesty is part of the training, and it is the same honesty you will need with your own clients.Who this is for, and who it is not it is for you if you already work in a healing capacity and want real shamanic skill underneath what you already do, or if you have been drawn to this for years and are ready to learn it properly. It is also for you if you have no intention of ever taking clients and simply want to walk this path for your own life. That is an entirely honourable reason to be here.It is not for you if you want a certificate quickly, or if you want the language and the aesthetic of shamanism without the responsibility that comes with it. The path ahead Level One is the initiation. Beyond it, Level Two is Healing Others, where you learn diagnosis, hands on healing and how to run a full session. Level Three is The Deep Work, giving inner child, cord cutting and ancestral work a full weekend each. Level Four is Soul Retrieval and Initiation, ending with an observed assessment and practitioner standing. An advanced path follows for those who want it, taking in extraction, curses and entities, distance healing and holding ceremony.
