To sing or not to sing....

Sarah will teach participants strategies to help release and enhance their singing voice as well as reducing that critical inner voice. Do you ever wonder why you avoid singing in public? Conversely, perhaps you are a person who enjoys singing in front of an audience even though you are your own worst critic so give yourself a really hard time afterwards? This group session is for non-singers and experienced ones. Time will be spent reflecting on what motivates or inhibits people to sing and how the voice can be produced in a balanced, non-judgemental way. Sarah will teach participants strategies to help release and enhance their singing voice as well as reducing the power of that critical voice within. Sarah Wright-Owens is a Singing Voice Specialist at the University Hospital Birmingham where she works with a team of voice professionals to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate performers with voice disorders. She is also a Vocal Coach at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, University of Birmingham in Selly Oak and teaches in private practice.
