Draw your Tea! Sketching Workshop. Suitable for all levels of experience.

Have fun at a sketching workshop in the inspiring surroundings of the Tea By the Lock Ballroom. The event will be held in the ballroom at Tea By The Lock. Those who come to the workshop will be welcome to buy refreshements at the lovely tearoom within the same location. The workshop is run by an experienced local artist, and is the perfect opportunity to enjoy sketching in pencil and pen. Whether you are totally new to drawing, or have some experience, the surroundings of the beautiful Tea by the Lock Venue offer plenty of inspiration. I will be drawing everyday objects to demonstrate the process, with an urban sketching illustrative style, although you will be free to experiment with your own style. I will show techniques for drawing everyday objects found within the tearoom, and there will be a choice of objects to draw from. If you wish to purchase drinks or refreshments these are not included in the ticket price, but are available at the wonderful tearoom. You may also choose to sketch the room as a whole, as it is full of character. It's a perfect chance to unwind and escape, and create your own artwork to take home. I will provide some examples of my work as inspiration, and give a demonstration, and then you will be free to have a go yourself. Materials will be provided, although if you wish to bring any of your own to use, you would be welcome to do so. Tea By The Lock is a wonderful venue, and the location itself offers a relaxed atmosphere, is dog-friendly, and is close to both a bus stop and the lock carpark. It is past the caravan park, down the track through the gate, and to the right, by the Lock.
