Food Preservation Workshop

Join us to learn different ways of preserving fruit and veg throughout autumn. Join us for a practical introduction to preserving food at Swillington Organic Farm! Together we’ll explore different ways of preserving seasonal fruit and vegetables throughout autumn, helping you make the most of fresh produce and enjoy it for longer. Learn about Kombucha and Kimchi (and how easy they are to make at home!) This is a relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop and you don’t need any previous preserving experience. Come along, meet other people from your local community and learn some practical skills you can try at home. If you have any food you've preserved yourself, please bring them along to show and share. When: Friday 18th September 4pm - 6pm Where: Swillington Organic Farm, Coach Road, Swillington, Leeds LS26 8QA Cost: Free All materials will be provided. We will meet in the shop at the entrance of the farm. Please come dressed for the weather and in suitable footwear for spending time on the farm. Parking is available on-site. Please let us know your accessibility needs in advance of the workshop. Toilets available and cups of tea included!
