微董事會是甚麼？What is Microboard?

跨界別研討會 Transdisciplinary Seminar 聯合國《殘疾人權利公約》列明受障者有在法律面前獲得平等承認(第十二條)，並融入社區自主生活(第十九條) 的權利，智力受障及多重受障者要如何實現這些權利呢？微董事會是一個由受障者親友及有心的社會人士組成的支援圈。董事的職責，是根據他們支援的受障者的意願、喜好及最佳利益，與受障者共同為受障者的生活事務（包括住宿、助理聘任等）議決。 嚴重智障人士家長協會、卓新力量及香港弱智人士家長聯會特別聯手舉辦本次研討會，誠邀各界共同探索微董事會可如何成為實現成就殘疾人權利的助力。 The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabliities (CRPD) stated that disabled persons should have equal recognition before the law (Article 12) and have the right to live independently and be included in the community (Article 19). How should these rights be afforded to intellectually and multiply disabled persons? Microboard, composed of friends, family and professionals who care for the disabled person at the centre of the Microboard, is a possible alternative structure to substitute decision making. Board members have fiduciary duties to the supported person. They will use best effort to discern the will, preferences and best interests of the supported person. Together with the supported person, decisions regarding daily living matters including housing, hiring of assistants, etc., will be made. The Association of Family Carers of Severely Intellectually Disabled Persons (AFCSIDP), Chosen Power and Hong Kong Joint Council of Parents of the Mentally Handicapped (HKJCPMH) would like to invite you to join this seminar to explore how Microboard can facilitate the realisation of disabled people's rights in Hong Kong.
