Halloween Special Comedy Showcase

Halloween Special Comedy Showcase ft Ash James, Asif Khan, Ha Chu, Nina McGrath, & Steve Lee Laugh your ass off, take in the vibes of LKF on Halloween, and then go home before your night gets ruined by belligerent drunks emboldened by being in costumes! - Winner of the 2025 Hong Kong Comedy Competition, Ashley James is a stand-up comedian from London who moved to Hong Kong to escape his desk job to another desk job but with a better view. Ashley’s style of humour is saying horrible things to make you laugh, and then making you laugh at his life. Ashley's sardonic wit and unique stage presence quickly saw him become a regular in Hong Kong. He has opened for many marquee acts, including the biggest stand-up comedy show in Hong Kong of 2021: Vivek's Mahbubani's Humour Along My Hairline at Ocean Park, and has sold out his two previous headline shows: I Am Trash and The Great Trashley. Despite this, he is annoyed about how he is recognised more for making all the memes on Chaotic Hong Kong Expats. "Ashley delivers a hilarious blend of British humour and local topics that will make you laugh." - Vivek Mahbubani - Asif Mohammed Khan is a writer from India and Hong Kong. Asif spent his youth in between London and Hong Kong where he first began performing stand-up comedy at eighteen. Attempting to rectify the lack of Muslim comedians on the circuit, Asif developed his craft as he attended Northeastern University in Boston, frequenting clubs in both Boston and New York. Asif first dipped his toe into the waters of screenwriting in Boston, writing his first feature and creating the web series, Maddie & Me. Asif continued to write short films in partnership with young directors from Boston universities and NYU Tisch, create and produce comedy sketches, and perform stand-up, all while simultaneously completing his own degree in Theology and History. After graduating, Asif continued to perform stand up in New York while focusing on writing his own original screenplays and pilots. Asif's writing draws heavily from his eccentric upbringing, his experiences and his studies, particularly in the fields of theology and history. After his time in New York, Asif returned to London, where he continues to feature on London’s stand-up circuit. Asif completed his Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law in 2021. He is now embarking on his Masters in Law in concurrence with crafting singular stories for screen and stage and is, in his own words, “a dangerous basketball player”. 21 Soho x Soho Theatre Comedy Program London The Comedy Studio Boston UG Comedy Show NYC The Bomb Shelter NYC New York Comedy Club NYC Greenwich Comedy Club NYC Broadway Comedy Club NYC The Creek and Cave NYC Laugh Boston Boston The Bean Boston Improv Asylum Boston Beat The Gong Dubai Take-Out Comedy Vauxhall Comedy Club London The Comedy Studio London - Nina McGrath The sweetheart of Hong Kong comedy. Bumbling her way through dating and finding the funny in everyday experiences. - Ha Chu is a stand up comedian from Hong Kong. His unique comedy style has brought him to stages across Asia, Australia and Europe. He is the first comedian from Asia to perform at the Christiania Comedy Club (Denmark). He was chosen by Melbourne International Comedy Festival to perform at the MICF- “Comedy Zone Asia”. He is a regular at the Hong Kong International Comedy Festival as well as the past winner of the Hong Kong International Comedy Competition. “One of the most original comedians I have worked with. In my opinion, he’s a must see comedian.” - Tom Cotter (USA) - Steve Lee is a Chinese American Disabled Stand-Up comedian, actor, producer and writer. As an immigrant from Hong Kong, his comedy is centered around his experiences in both continents dealing with racism and living with disabilities, and his content is remarkably original. Rather than being encumbered by stereotypes, Steve is vitalized by them. He blends stories and punchlines to convey his belief that we are all equal - equally ignorant, fallible, weird, and desiring freedom. For Steve, comedy is a way to get people - including himself - to laugh about our own shortcomings and problems in our daily lives.
