An exclusive evening with Cork hurling legend Patrick “Hoggie” Horgan, stories, memories and insight from one of the greats. We’re delighted to officially launch The Sporting Club Ireland in Cork with one of the greatest players Cork hurling has ever produced, Patrick “Hoggie” Horgan. After an extraordinary 18-year inter-county career, Patrick brought the curtain down on his time with Cork in 2025 as one of the most accomplished and admired players of his generation. He finished as hurling’s all-time leading scorer in both the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship and the National Hurling League, alongside: 🏆 4 Munster Senior Hurling Championships 🏆 1 National Hurling League title ⭐ 4 All-Star awards 🏆 2 Cork Senior Hurling Championships with Glen Rovers But the numbers only tell part of the story. The timing of this evening makes it even more special. Patrick’s autobiography, Hoggie, is released on October 8th, just one week before our event, giving us the perfect opportunity to hear directly from Patrick as he reflects on the highs, the setbacks, the pressure, the resilience, the family support and the dedication behind one of the great careers in modern hurling. And for us, this is more than just another event. It marks the official launch of The Sporting Club Ireland in Cork. We already have some fantastic corporate organisations getting involved, and we’re looking forward to welcoming many more as we begin building a strong Sporting Club community in the city.
