Gorilla Gorilla + Rafters + Evil Scientist

. The Cork five-piece bring together alternative rock, post-punk and grunge, drawing on the early 2000s rock scene with an emphasis on storytelling and energetic live performances. Their shows have caught the attention of Hot Press, who praised the band’s “live wire performance”. Joining them are Rafters, a Cork-based alternative rock band whose members hail from Cork, Killarney and New York. Combining strong melodies with influences spanning Nirvana, Sonic Youth and Jeff Buckley, they bring a guitar-driven sound and an energetic live set. Evil Scientist complete the lineup, mixing alternative rock and indie with psychedelic, funk and jazz influences. Together, the three bands offer a night of original music from Cork’s independent scene, with costumes encouraged for the Halloween occasion.
