A Night with Reyneke South African Wines

A delightful evening with a selection of 6 wines from across the Reyneke portfolio, led by winemaker Barbara Melke Join us for a exciting guided tasting with Barbara Melke from Reyneke Wines, South Africa's only certified biodynamic wine producer, based in the Polkadraai Hills of Stellenbosch. Barbara Melck has been Reyneke's winemaker since 2021. With ten years' experience across biodynamic, premium and commercial winemaking, she has quickly established herself as one of South Africa's most promising young winemakers, winning the 2025 Next Generation Award. Their approach is rooted in working with the land rather than against it, with the aim of making wines that reflect the natural rhythms of the place that they come from and of the people that make them. Their Cornerstone Project that began in the early 1990's is a true Fairtrade agreement between the workers, the local community and has seen profits from this put back into the community. It's ethos is true sustainability for not just the winery and land, but the community that the winery exists within. We will kick off the night with a welcome glass on arrival before Barbara will take us through the wines, sharing the stories behind them. Alongside the wines, we've got you covered with cheese and nibbles from Sweeney's deli - proper grazing food to keep the evening ticking along nicely.
