Full description from organizer

The Federation of International Banks in Ireland (FIBI) is back for its Annual Conference 2026 on Tuesday, 17th November, 8.30-2.00pm The Federation of International Banks in Ireland (FIBI) an affiliate of Banking & Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI), is pleased to host its flagship annual conference on Tuesday, 17th November 2026, from 8.30am -12.30pm followed by a networking lunch at the College Green Hotel, Dublin. Featuring keynote addresses from An Taoiseach Micheál Martin, Central Bank of Ireland Governor Gabriel Makhlouf and United States Ambassador to Ireland Edward Walsh, join over 200 senior executives, policymakers, regulators and industry stakeholders as we reflect on four decades of the IFSC and explore the opportunities, challenges and strategic priorities that will define the next chapter of Ireland's international financial services story. As a gateway to the European Union and a longstanding bridge between the United States, Europe and global financial markets, Ireland occupies a distinctive position within the international financial services landscape. Against an increasingly fragmented and competitive global backdrop, this year’s conference will explore how Ireland can build on these advantages to attract investment, foster innovation and strengthen its position as a location of choice for internationally focused financial services firms. Geopolitical uncertainty, shifting patterns of global investment, rapid technological change and an evolving European policy landscape are reshaping the environment in which international financial services firms operate. Through a series of keynote addresses, panel discussions and expert insights, the conference will examine the implications of these developments and consider how Ireland can deepen its international connections, enhance its operating environment and position itself for the next phase of growth as a globally connected financial services hub with discussions focusing on: • Ireland's position within an evolving global and European financial services landscape • The policy, economic and regulatory frameworks shaping competitiveness and growth • The experience of firms building and scaling international businesses from Ireland • The future growth factors that will influence investment, innovation, productivity and talent • The opportunities presented by emerging technologies, including digital assets and tokenisation • The wider ecosystem and partnerships that contribute to Ireland's long-term success as an international financial centre Featured Speakers include: • An Taoiseach Micheál Martin • Gabriel Makhlouf, Governor, Central Bank of Ireland • Edward Walsh, United States Ambassador to Ireland • Enda Kilcullen, FIBI Chair & Chief Executive Officer TD Global Finance • Paulina Dejmek Hack, Director General, DG FISMA European Commission • Adam Farkas, Chief Executive Officer, Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME) • Oliver Gilvarry, Assistant Secretary in the Banking & Financial Stability Division, Department of Finance • Claire Lanigan, CRO, Wells Fargo • James Pomeroy, Global Economist, HSBC • Michael Lohan, CEO, IDA Ireland • Martina Lawless, CEO, ESRI • Anne O'Leary, Head of Meta Ireland • Antony Jancic, CEO, Bank of America Europe and Country Executive for Ireland • Marc Hussey, Senior Country Officer and Head of Banking in Ireland, J.P.
