Finnian Kelleher, Davy Lyons and This Frontier Needs Heroes

Dundalk songwriter Finnian Kelleher headlines the Backroom of The Cobblestone, with support from This Frontier Needs Heroes and Davy Lyons. Finnian Kelleher is a singer-songwriter from Dundalk, Ireland, likened to Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor and John Prine, with a refreshingly original sound fortified by his Irish heritage. His debut album 'Under the Influence' (2020) drew critical acclaim. "Quite simply delightful" - RTÉ Radio 1 This Frontier Needs Heroes is the folk project of Bradley Lauretti, an American songwriter based in Barcelona. His sixth album, Homage to Catalonia, works Woody Guthrie's borrowed-melody tradition into a migrant's-eye view of leaving America. He has shared stages with Sarah Lee Guthrie, Johnny Irion and Scarlet Rivera. Davy Lyons is an Irish singer and storyteller based between Wexford and Barcelona. His albums Evidence (2019) and The Human Factor (2023) earned him praise as "one of Ireland's most interesting and original songwriters." Doors 7pm, music 8pm. The Backroom holds 75, so advance tickets are the safe bet. Access is through the pub via Red Cow Lane.
