Newpark Festival Workshop Series: Syncopation, Coordination & Independence

In our 'Beyond the competition' Workshop series for Festival 2027, join jazz drummer Kevin Brady for a practical rhythm workshop! Join jazz drummer Kevin Brady for a practical rhythm workshop exploring syncopation studies, four-way coordination, and independence on the drumkit. Drawing from classic rhythmic exercises and applying them directly to musical situations, Kevin will demonstrate ways to develop stronger coordination, flexibility, and rhythmic awareness across the kit. The workshop is suitable for drummers looking to deepen their independence, improve their understanding of syncopation, and turn technical exercises into musical ideas.
