Online Neurodiversity & Disability Awareness Workshop

This online workshop is designed to increase awareness of how to effectively support people with disabilities in sport and activity. This online workshop is designed to increase participants understanding of neurodiversity and disability, helping to create more inclusive, supportive, and accessible environments in sport, physical activity, and community settings. Participants will explore different types of disabilities and neurodivergent conditions, challenge common misconceptions, and gain practical knowledge on effective communication, inclusive practices, and reasonable accommodations. Through interactive discussions and real-life examples, the training will build confidence in engaging with and supporting individuals with diverse needs, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate, contribute, and thrive. This Neurodiversity and Disability Awareness Workshop is delivered by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Sports Partnership . Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon completion. The workshop is facilitated by an experienced tutor with both extensive professional expertise and lived experience in the area, providing valuable insights and practical knowledge to enhance your learning experience. This workshop takes place on Thursday 24th September 2026 from 6.30pm to 8pm. A zoom link will be sent to you via email a couple of days before the start date.
