Papa Rua - Live in Concert at Swans Curragha

Papa Rua plays a homecoming show to round off a year that brought Overthinking, Turtle Soup and Dreamy. Support act to be announced. Papa Rua plays a homecoming show on Thursday 26 November to close out the busiest year of his career so far. Papa Rua is Darragh Hoare, a songwriter from County Meath now based in Dublin. He writes songs about finding hope when the world feels like it's coming apart. His music draws on neo-soul, folk, jazz, hip-hop, shoegaze and skiffle, and moves between stripped-back acoustic songs and layered studio productions. Over the past ten years he has gone from self-producing his own records to playing Electric Picnic and All Together Now. 2026 started with his first London show, at Skehans Free House in Nunhead in February, in association with Head the Ball. In April he released Overthinking, the first single from his upcoming debut album, and followed it with Turtle Soup in August. In September he featured on Dreamy, the new single from French producer Blanka, alongside Japanese soul singer Nao Yoshioka, out on Japanese label Sweet Soul Records. In October he played the National Concert Hall with The Growth Experience.
