YOUR HEART IS AN EMPTY ROOM - a work in progress by James Lydon

A reflective and personal one-man play, exploring themes of coming-of-age and loss, through live music and immersive storytelling. As part of DUBLIN BY DUSK: When a young musician loses his band and with it a personal creative dream, he conjures up a dreamlike space in which he is placed in a live gig situation from his own bedroom. As he plays songs from his band's musical repertoire and interacts with the audience, he starts to re-live the pain of the fallout and becomes increasingly frustrated with this situation he has encountered. It is only through looking back on his journey and receiving a compassionate message from his future self that he reconciles with his grief and walks out into the world ready to live. Come along and support a young artist while experiencing an evening of live music and performance in the intimate atmosphere of Bewley's Cafe Theatre in Bewley's beautiful historic Cafe on Grafton Street.
