Remote & Hybrid Worker Meet-up: Board Games + Cheese Boards

Board games and cheese boards at Siar Cafe, Kinvara. A cosy night for remote and hybrid workers. Games and cheese on us, just turn up. Meet-up number five for Grow Remote Kinvara, and we’re heading back to where it all started. The evenings are drawing in, so this one’s a cosy one. We’re taking over Siar Cafe on the Quay for a night of board games and cheese boards. The games are sorted and the cheese boards are on us, so all you need to bring is yourself (and maybe a competitive streak). Drinks are available to buy on the night. No skill required, no rules you need to know in advance. We’ll figure it out as we go. My name is Karen and I’m the Local Leader volunteer with Grow Remote. I’ve worked from home for over 20 years, so I know how small your work world can get when your whole team lives inside a laptop. These meet-ups are about closing that gap, meeting the people working remotely a few miles down the road from you, and feeling a bit more connected to the place you actually live. We’ve had four meet-ups so far and they’ve gone really well. There’ll be a few familiar faces and new people are always welcome, so if this is your first one, you’ll be grand. Just turn up and say hello. What is Grow Remote? Grow Remote is a social enterprise that helps remote and hybrid workers feel more connected to their local community. Local Leaders run informal social meet-ups all over the country. No pitches, no panels, no work talk required. You can read more at growremote.ie. Disclaimer: This event is for remote and hybrid employees. Photos and videos may be taken for social media purposes.
