Intro to 3D Printing

Short courses in 3D Printing that will get you started using Fab Lab equipment. No previous experience required. Our Equipment Introductions consist of short courses, that will get you started using Fab Lab equipment. These are introductory courses. No previous experience is required. Intro to 3D Printing This course will explain the concept of 3D printing and demonstrate how to use a 3D printer with demonstrations on our new Prusa Minis. 3D printing is an extremely versatile prototyping technology which has a large variety of available materials. Then we will look at more recent, advanced 3D Printing techniques, including resin and SLS printing. 3D printing is a very accessible technology, advancing all the time with dedicated online communities and open source designs. Bring along a notebook, or a laptop if you wish. If you have an idea of something you'd like to test or to make, let us know. If there is time, we may be able to try it! Details Dates and Times: This course is on Saturday, October 31st from 2pm. The course will take approx. 2 hours. Pricing: Workshops are €20 for students or €35 for adults. Restrictions: Under 14's must be accompanied by an adult. Note: There are concessions available if you have done the Laser and CNC tutorial already.
