Trees Carry Memory: A Music-Led Workshop with Murphy Lamb

This workshop combines a guided visualization exercise and live music to get people reflecting on their relationships to the trees . Is there a tree in your life you hold dear? An apple tree you’d swing from as a child... a sycamore that marks your daily walk... an oak full of skittering squirrels... In this 90-minute workshop, part of the Limerick Quimper Tree Festival 2026, we explore our entanglement with trees and their ability to carry the memories of people and place, both physically and symbolically. Through group storytelling, a guided visualization exercise, and interwoven musical performance, we experience their agency and discover new ways of attuning to our environment.
